Stover Mill
Stover Mill was built in 1832 by Henry Stover. The building was constructed of fieldstone - a stone which once originated from the farm fields of northeastern Pennsylvania and is known for its characteristic flat shape and neutral colors. While Stover Mill isn't currently active, back in 1834 it used a millstone (a type of circular stone with a hole in its center) to grind flour and feed for livestock. Eventually in 1920 the mill ceased milling flour, and up until 1955 it operated as a feed mill and retail supplier. Ever since its inception, Stover Mill has been passed through the hands of many owners, one of which was Jacob Stover who bought the property back in 1784. As of recently, Stover Mill has been used as an art gallery to hold exhibits of local artists' pieces and artworks.
